Treat Yo Self! Nicki Minaj live at the O2 and Westfield shopping

This weekend, I decided to go by the words 'treat yo self' and went to go see Nicki Minaj live at the O2 Arena in London for her Pinkprint Tour, along with Trey Songz and singer/songwriter Ester Dean (think: 'Where Have You Been, 'Rudeboy'). Needless to say, my feet were shattered and my voice was a myth by the end of the night.

I was skeptic at first, but he's actually like a young Usher.

A pretty close view!! She is such an inspiring person.
We would have waited in the massive queue as planned, but my aunt managed to book us in the Sky Lounge, where we sat and waited with cocktails in hand and even had pictures taken.

The following day after Palm Sunday mass (today) me and my family went to the Westfield shopping centre in Stratford. I decided to browse in shops that weren't around in my area because of their different designs.

After gawking at designer price tags, the real browsing began. I absolutely loved this brand named 'COS' that I didn't really know of. Their designs are perfect for the person who seeks for the minimal and simplistic when it comes to clothes. Their accessories are also worth mentioning! Their scarves give a lot of 'fabric-worth' for their price, and their jewellery helps make outfits feel complete without grabbing too much attention from what you are actually wearing.

Their front design made a great impact; minimal display with mainly neutrals and accents of spring colours.

However, there was one shop that was familiar to me and bought stuff from: Anne Summers! Ever since I bought my first pairs of matching underwear with my friends, no other pair of knickers or bras felt quite the same. The deals were pretty good! I paid for a matching underwear set for less than half of what I paid for at home. And so, I will soon be posting what I've purchased at another time, as it is of a late hour in the night and I am exHAUSted.

Peace!!

THE Scent of A Woman: Rihanna 'Rogue' EDP

Ok, so 2014 has passed and the new year has come upon us. I am fully aware that it's already February BUT this year still feels fresh to me. Speaking of fresh, sales were around the corner not too long ago, which included perfumes. I've always been a fan of strong fragrances that are bold with a lasting impact, so I decided to buy Rihanna's 'ROGUE' perfume, in its 125ml form!

'ROGUE' by Rihanna. Top Notes; Lemon Blossom, Cyclamen, Bergamot, Pink Peppercorn. Middle; Jasmin, Rose, Plum, Suede. Base: Sandalwood, Patchouli, Golden Amber, Vanilla and a touch of musk.

It was during the christmas period, the perfume was sold in a gift set. Along with it was a rose gold-look bangle, which also had a touch of faux leather with it.

The bangle was a bit too big on me so it's just in the box, but in looking at it, it symbollises the perfume in some way, referring to the plethora of notes in this sweet but spicy scent, not to mention the essence of citrus from the Lemon Blossom.

Recently, I checked the Perfume Shop again for maybe there could be some complimentary products that could go with the scent. No lotions or shower gel, but I did buy the 30ml bottle too :') it was such a cute size, I couldn't resist buying it! Having a smaller one to go in your purse is perfect if you ever felt the need to touch up, but I'f I'm honest you hardly would. I just like shopping excessively for perfumes, along with many other things.

If I could interpret the scent?
From the start, you get this intense zing from the Lemon Blossom, the intensity being emphasised by the Bergamot and Peppercorn which hold down the strength of the formula, being an EDP fragrance. Through time, the theme of intense lingers on, but it shows more of its sweeter side in releasing the Patchouli laced with Gold Amber. The sweetness flourishes effectively against the Sandalwood. The vanilla becomes its faint after taste which is solidified by its heavy counterpart, the musk. The perfume's scent really does last through its strength, and if you think that it's pretty weak? Look at other people around you, because this scent makes you become known.

What it's like on my skin?
As I just described it. Although it CAN be different on other people's skin, which can be a bummer for perfumes in general. Some say that it just smells zesty on them or just a little bit sweet, depending on your body's natural pH. I can honestly say that the scent smells as it describes itself to be.

How it wears on me?
This perfume, being an EDP, lasts the whole day! However as we know, we can get used to our own scents. It's natural. That's why I bought the smaller one as well, so if I ever feel tad paranoid, it gives me the benefit of the doubt.

So there it is, my review of Rihanna's 'Rogue' perfume. If you like strong scents that bring a sensual softness, I suggest you to try it.

Pursuit of Simplicity: Accessories

Since I have had some time off, I've utilised this time wisely. Here is a grey faux leather
look bag from Primark, a high street shop in Cardiff, capital of Wales. Living twenty minutes away from a pretty big city has perks.
Primark grey faux leather bag, 8.00
The inside is pretty functional too, having one zipped centre pouch and two separated compartments to fit your stuff in, giving some added depth to a small and simple bag.

It also has an extending strap and it was just under a tenner costing an easy £8.00 :)
